The school day
2022/23 8.55am - 3.15pm
Pupils should arrive in the playground no earlier than 08.45. The school gates open at 8.45am.
To help the effective running of the school it is appreciated if pupils in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 can be escorted to the playground and then left there.
On wet days pupils should arrive in the playground at 08.55. Please bring suitable wet-weather clothing as there is no provision to wait inside the school before the school day.
Pupils will be collected promptly by staff at 8.55am.
School finishes at 15.15. The school gates will open at 15.15. Please collect your children promptly from the playground. If you are going to be delayed please contact the office.
If you have arranged for somebody else to pick up your child from school it is essential that you let us know in advance or we will not release the child.
We have systems in place to monitor punctuality and to reward good habits.
It is very important that children attend school regularly. All absences are monitored by the school's Education Welfare Officer.
We ask that all parents ring the school as soon as possible on the day of their child's illness. Should no call have been received by 10.00 the school administrator will ring home to check the reason for the child's absence.
A letter should be sent with the child on their return to school.
These systems help the school keep track of authorised and unauthorised absence.
